January 23, 2018

No conferences this week!! I am so so excited to just get to work in our area for a whole week! We have two exchanges this week as week so we’ll get double the work done. We are so determined to find investigators this week so get ready to hear about some miracles this next week😁
The new missionary conference went really really well. For my training I talked about faith to find and related it to faith to be healed and then at the end we talked about faith not to be healed (like from elder hallstroms talk this past Conference) and how we need to Except the lords will and not let it effect our faith. I can’t believe that in a week we will be picking up the new missionaries from the airport! I am sooo excited!
That week ive been studying about the anti-Nephi-lehis. The question that I’ve been pondering is what am I willing to sacrifice in order to stay cleansed from sin? When I get back home am I willing to sacrifice favourite tv shows, music, doing certain things with friends in order to stay closer to my savior? What I really love about this story is that in the end the number of lamanites that were converted far exceeded the number of the anti Nephi lehis that were slain. It proves that god’s blessings always exceed that which we have to sacrifice. There’s my little spiritual thought to remember throughout the week through all the basketball craziness haha
Love you!

January 16, 2018

Hello hello hello
This was a BUSY week! All of the zone conferences are over :) the mission is getting ready to all Be using our smart phones by next transfer and so we watched this 2 hour training and it was really good... the first time haha but by the 4th time me sister claus elder madsen and elder ipson we’re going a little crazy haha we can just quote the whole thing! Getting to go to Newfoundland again was awesomely!! I hope that I get to serve there again😊 we are now getting ready for the new missionary conference! I love new missionaries soooo much and I never want to stop feeling like a new missionary! They just are so humble and soak everything up. My training that I’ll be doing in the conference is on faith to find, I’m excited.
Last night I had my interview with President Pratt. I just love and admire him and Sister Pratt so much. We talked about a lot of things. I told him How I was kinda having a hard time adjusting to my new calling. In the past I have felt the most successful Fromm just being out knocking and teaching lessons and planning booths or different finding ideas but now there is just not as much time for that. We have so many responsibilities. We talked a lot about magnifying our callings and how we can find joy from that. So I am going to study and try and find more ways that’s I can magnify my calling. As for not finding investigators president Pratt just laughed and said BE PATIENT haha. Maybe god is just preparing me for everything my faith to find training:)
That’s all for now, I can’t  think of anything else!
Love sister wood
Oh yeah our van got side swiped by a snowplough last night🤗🤗🤗

January 8, 2018

Sorry I don’t really have time to email today! We are getting ready for zone conference this week! Tonight we will drive to Amherst to have the New Brunswick’s zones conference then Wednesday is Nova Scotia’s. Thursday we fly to Newfoundland! I can’t  wait to go back 😁to except we will just be in gander but we get to stay in a hotel! Friday is the zone conference there. Saturday we’ll fly back.
This past Thursday was mlc and there was a crazy storm outside haha so for the last hour of it we didn’t have power and president Pratt was just talking to us in the dark haha. No one was allowed to drive home so we had 10 sisters stay with us in our apartment, it felt like a girls camp haha it was a lot of fun, we all just shared stuff about how and why we came on missions, I feel like I just know so much more about the sisters know and just have so much charity for them.
We haven’t found any new investigators yet this transfer but we feel determined to find someone this week even though we won’t be in our area for very long! I just want to find someone that we can baptize so bad!
Love you all

January 2, 2018

New Year’s Eve was so much fun, we went over to the roses for supper and then correlation (brother rose is our ward mission leader) then we played werewolf and exploding kittens until ten because we got permission from President Pratt to stay out longer:)
On Sunday president Pratt told me who the new mission President is going to be.. Jonathon lows dad! What the heck haha!
Everyone was in holiday mode this week so we didn’t get to teach a lot of lessons. It’s so weird coming from Amherst to here, the only way I can explain it is like coming from district 12 to the capital haha there is a calling that a lady has in the ward to arrange our dinner appointments for the week! It’s just so weird being in a ward.
I can’t really think of anything else to right about but a good tald to read to start the year off is good better best by elder oaks:)
We also have our missionary leadership conference this week😬 and min nervous to Be up in front of all of the missionaries, I’m grateful to have sister claus. Our training is going to be pretty fun though, we made up this quiz and then we are having this one missionary draw the first vision and are tying it into their role of imparting vision to the district leaders. Sometimes we just see the pencil and paper and don’t know where to start but we need to begin with the end in mind:)
Oh also, I got frost bite haha here are some pics
