Hey everyone! This is going to be a quick one!I'm still in dartmouth! Do you know what that means...that means I'll spend 9months of my mission in dartmouth!!Haha crazy but I love it here and I would really love to see laura get baptized.Charli and madeline's baptisms were both so so good! At madeline's I gave a talk about how the holy ghost helps us to endure to the end. I really loved studying for that! Charli's baptism was so cool, her mom alayna I'd really just so amazing, she invited so many people! Our cool miracle that happened this week was meeting kaslyn! So we were walking down Lakefront to go and see a recent convert but she didn't end up being home and so we had just plan to knock in the area as a backup. We met this girl in her car she was just heading out and we talked to her for a little bit but she said she wasn't interested so we didn't think too much of it. We kept walking down the sidewalk to the apartment that we had left off on the last time we were there and I stopped to fix my shoe and we noticed a guy that was behind us quite a ways but we decided to go and talk to him still because we talked with everyone :-) so we went back and talked with him and he wasn't interested but he kept talking to us for a while it was like a five-minute contact and while we were talking with him we see this car pull up behind us and kaslyn gets out the girl that we had talked to before and she says I'm sorry I said I wasn't interested before but I was actually wondering if you could come back to my house in like an hour and a half and we were like yes so we went back and we taught her and she told us that about a week ago she had prayed that people would come to her and teach her more about God because she was tired of just learning everything off of the internet. how cool is that?!?!She is gone camping this week but we'll meet with her when she gets back! That's all I have time for:)Love you allSister wood

Sorry another short one!So I am pretty sure that I will actually be staying another transfer in dartmouth haha I'll find out for tonight. Hopefully I am because I haven't packed anything. I had my interview with president low, it was just a quick one, but he said that I would most likely be staying. We had a little testimony meeting with the lows when they came for interviews and I feel like I learn new things about myself as I share my testimony. My mission has taught me the "why" of why I do things.
I am so so excited for this week!!! Charli's baptism is on wednesday and madeline's is on saturdayshe asked us to talk at it. Also the new missionaries come tomorrow and I just love getting to pick them up at the airport, there are 6 coming this transfer and 13 missionaries leaving so we have to close some areas.
A cool thing that happened this week is we stopped by this girls house who we had met a couple weeks ago and taught the restoration. She wasn't there but her parents were and they invited us in as well and said that their daughter had told them all about us and how it was so weird when we came because she was thinking about God just before we knocked on her door. We are excited for them! Hopefully there will be more to report on next week!Love youSister wood

Hey:)I remember before I came out on my mission I thought that I would start my email home each week with a cute little catch phrase... so far that hasn't gone very well haha sorry for the let down. You'll be happy to hear grandma that last tuesday we did a family history booth and it was really successful. We met a lot of cool people. The coolest person was this dad Michael. His sister is a member and a little while back she had her newborn baby die, she said though to him when he asked what was keeping her together that "God had something way bigger in store for that little child and the only thing she needed to come to earth for was to gain her body". He said that- that has always stuck with him. He was with his little son Gabriel and we played him and seek with him around these statues haha I just loooove little kids. One of the hardest things about a mission is not being able to pick up little kids haha honestly! Also...miracle!!! I can't remember if I told you before about madeline. I'll give a quick background just in case I haven't. So there is this mom amanda who we have been keeping in touch with since December and three weeks ago she invited us over to come and talk to her friend madeline because she was going though a hard time. Madeline lives in Halifax though and so we took her to the ysa ward and introduced her to the halifax sisters and she's been meeting with them ever since and we just found out from amanda that madeline is getting baptized on the 21st!! She is moving to Cape Breton on the 23rd and so we have been praying that she would get baptized before then!! We are so pumped. Before madeline moves she's is going to go say by to amanda and so we will be there too to say bye. Our hope is that amanda will see how happy madeline is and will finally want to be baptized as well!:DAlso something else that I awesome that I just got a notification for right now is that charli, alyna's daughter (alayna is the returning member that we are working with) is going to be baptized on July 18th!! What better way to celebrate your birthday abby;). Charli is so sweet, it has been such a blast teaching her. I love coming up with fun little lessons. So much good stuff happening! I don't have enough time to fill you in on laura but last week was a little bit rough for her but we met with her and she is doing way better now!Love you all!My commitment to you is to let people know how much you really appreciate them:)Love sister wood

The Pratts are gone!!It's still so weird but we met the lows and got to have dinner at their house on Friday and they are AWESOME!! I am supper excited to see what changes they make and what new ideas they have. Right now they are touring the mission and interviewing all of the missionaries. Before the Pratts left we organized a Skype call with a bunch of the rms from the mission. The pratts were in tears, they've blessed so many missionaries lives. This week was good we met some cool people. Alma is this young mom who we met while she was moving into her new house she let us in and let us help her unpack and we are going to see her again on Thursday. We already know that she's elect just by her name;). We also went knocking with April (a member who moved here from the Philippines) i wish you could all meet her. She is litreally my favourite haha she is just so hilarious!! It was such a blast knocking with her. She would knock on the door and then try to hide behind it because she would get nervous and then as soon as the person answered she would just be all into it haha. We had a lesson with laura and after the lesson we learned that she was starting to question if she should continue because of the contention that's it's starting to create in the home but after the lesson she said that her faith was reaffirmed. It is still hard for her though. I love her so much!Canada day was fun we went contacting downtown and got destroyed by some people hahaHave a great week everyoneLove sister wood
