This week was insane!! So many miracles!! I don't know where to start haha so first off we tried to go and teach that mom and dad that we had ran into but when we got to their house for the lesson we had set up this guy answered the door and said they didn't live there... so that was awkward so we just stayed in the area an knocked and then just when we were walking back to the car we looked at the street sign and realized that we were on summit ave instead of summit heights:( haha we felt dumb, hopefully we will get another chance to teach thme soon!
Haha ok now the good stuff! So sister cartwright and I from the beginning of the transfer have had a goal to find a ysa to teach that can just be our best friend and Thursday night we get a text from these two sisters at temple square saying that they have a referral for us!!! Her name is taylor and she's in her twenties!! We went and taught her on Saturday and she is so elect!! And the best thing is that her boyfriend is interested too!! They are engaged right now and so we might end up helping them with their wedding (and sister cartwright does wedding hair)! They both came to church on Sunday and liked it! We are teaching them again tonight with these other members who are newly weds. So church was just awesome because we have these two investigators there but then it gets even better! There's this member who we've been trying to help come back to church and she's been coming lately with her family but this last week she brought a friend and after church the member called us and said hey so my friend really enjoyed church and wants to be taught by you too and I would love to come to the lessons as well!!!! Sunday night we were just losing our minds, God is too good! The lady's name is laura and she is so nice and she has these two little girls who are adorable:)
We've been working so hard and I'm just so happy to know that God is aware:)
Leadership conference was also so so good! I learned so much. A lot of it was about being an agent. I want to stop being such a bad procrastinater and not wait for the perfect moment to do something! If life's taught me anything it's taught me that there is no perfect moment haha you just have to start.
I'm out of time but there are so many other things I wish I could tell you about!!
Oh yeah yesterday we went and saw colleen and lila (lila just turned 10 and we brought her some donuts) they were baptized in December but haven't been coming to church. We talked with them and it was really good and lila is going to start coming to activity days again:))))
Thankyou for all of the prayers!!

Hello!
It was so great to see the fam last week😊 if nothing else my mission has taught me how much I love my family.
I've been studying a lot about obedience lately because at our leadership conference this thursday and frI day I am giving a training on "why obey". This conference is different than our normal leadership conferences because all of the district leaders will be there as well haha so that makes about 50 missionaries which is like half of the mission.
Why do you obey? Why do you live the word of wisdom? why do you get up for church each week? Why do you say your prayers and study your scriptures everyday?
For me it is easy to study the scriptures everyday because I'm disobedient if I don't bit if that is the only reason I read them then what will happen when I come home? A lot of the time we are the only ones holding ourselves accountable. We need to learn to want to obey because our desire is to follow the Lord. A quote frim president pratt is,"the higher law is to submit, expecting you will later understand and grow.... when we do this God's purposes will always be our priority." A great scripture for this is ephesians 6:6.
I have gained a testimony that obedience brings blessings.
A cool experience that we had this week was sister Fernandez and I were on exchanges (my trainer😁) and we met this dad at a park with his kid and he was telling us how he was maybe intrestles but his wife would not be:( yesterday though sister cartwright and I were contacting around this lake right beside our house and we met this mom, she told us she was atheist but we continued to talk to her and then she called her little boy over and it was the same little boy that was with the father! She ended up inviting us over tomorrow! Hopefully it goes good! We're excited :D
I had my interview with president pratt yesterday, he said a lot of kind words:) I asked him if he's been crying at all lately and he said, "sister wood, I just cannot stop the tears from coming!" It's starting to set in that the end of their mission if coming:( but change is good and the lows are going to be amazing!
I love serving a mission it has made me more wise, more prayerful, more humble, and more confident in christ.

Hey everyone!!
I am so excited to Skype home tonight!! Haha it’s so funny that the last time I called I was still in dartmouth it makes it seem like I just talked to you! Zone conference this week we’re great. On Monday for our pday we got to go to pei again because we stayed over with the sisters there before the New Brunswick, I’ll send some pics it was a lot of fun. So lately we have just been finding finding finding, one day we walked 25000 steps (I have a step tracker on my phone😏) haha but yesterday we taught a lesson!! Her name is Cathy and she is such an awesome lady she in so fun and spunky and very crafty. She reminds me a lot of Amy :). So in the mission lately we have really been pushing technology and we started teaching this guy named Robert over fb and it was going so good! He was loving all of the videos and talks and scriptures we were sending him and then Saturday night after we got back from Newfoundland he messaged us and didn’t want to learn anymore. He had found some things online and it’s just so sad how quickly we forget things we do know or things we felt as soon as  doubt creeps into our minds. There’s a scripture in mark 4 that talks about that. It’s good to have questions but as we seek answers to those questions we have to stay obedient, keeps living the commandments, and most importantly never doubt the goodness of good. Ultimately what he was troubled with is our potential to become like God. A scripture that I really love now from this experience with Robert is Romans 8: 16-17. I know that God wants us to live with him again and to become like him and that only though Jesus Christ we are able to do this.

Haha I never know where to start. I feel like I just tell you the same things every week😂 it's either transfer week or zone conference week, or exchanges or mlc or new missionary conference haha this week was transfer week!
Sister claus is in St. John's with the new missionary sister Powell! They were so pumped to go, I was telling them about how st. John's is the best area haha sister Powell is really sweet, she is going to be such a great missionary. I think I said this before but my favourite thing is taking the missionaries out knocking for the first time, a lot of them don't realize that we actually do that in this mission. We told her that if you don't know what to say just bear your testimony of the restoration of the gospel. We ended up being let in to this one guys apartment and we taught him the restoration and the one thing sister Powell did was bear her testimony:) she said after that she just had no idea what to but then she remebered what we told her:).
Sister cartwright is my new companion and I love her!! It has seriously been our dream to serve together! She has been out for 13 months and she's from Calgary!! So we're definitely going to hang out when we get home😊. I'm really excited for this transfer, we are setting our expectations high and we are going to see some miracles! Also this is the Pratts last full transfer which is insane!! They leave at the end of June...I think haha I try not to think about it too much.
Also shout out to aunt chrisy!! You are the best haha we were out knocking on Saturday and it has just been pouring here(there was a thunderstorm at10am the other day) so we were drenched and we got to the mission office for a Skype call and there sat a package for me with a new dress haha tender mercy!❤
Love you all and I hope you had a super fun birthday Clairey!
